location: Centro Latino, Paseo Del Mar, Zamboanga City

On the day we supposedly had a dance booking with my fam the Ateneo Blue Vigors by 3pm but we can't tell ha-ha. So, anyway me and my friends are invited to attend the Chavacano Video Music Festival 2017.
Actually, this was my first time to attend this kind of event (Chavacano Video Music Fest) aside from the other events that I’ve been to and it seems a lot of awesome things happened in one night and I'm so-so happy to be here. Chavacano Video Music Fest is an event where in the best of the best Videographers, Cinematographers, Directors, composers, singers and etc. from our local city Zamboanga-goes to battle with their own inspiring entries through music and videos as one, this was held on the 7th of October 2017 featuring 13 anthemic music entries of different categories: Song Composition, Song Performance and Music Video. I want to congratulate all the winners and everyone who has been part of this wonderful and successful night, also the guests and the ambassadors of this year’s Zamboanga Hermosa Festival; everyone deserves a round of applause! I swear, I really did enjoy ha-ha. But wait this doesn’t end the Zamboanga Hermosa Festival 2017, there’s a lot more of cool and awesome events coming. If you want to be updated follow the official Zamboanga Hermosa Festival accounts. (link down below after the  photos) #ZamboHermosaFest

Summer classes are almost done, before everything; I just wanted to let you know that I still did enjoy my 2017 summer. This Manuel was a new place for me to discover. I was still having a balance in nature, as a student it’s hard to miss out some quizzes and requirements. Going back, let me tell you a little about Manuel Resort, well it is located at Dipolog - Polanco - Oroquieta Rd, Piñan, Zamboanga Del Norte. Manuel is a bit far from Zamboanga City, you could take a bus or bring your own private transportation and could last, I think we’d driven almost 6 hours and a half with a short stop over with a 307.4 km to be exact, even though cramps are starting to hit me, but nothing stops me from having an amazing summer. I know some of the millennial are a fan of having a get away with friends, families or even their own special one “kung baga relationship goals” ha-ha. Manuel Resort is a popular choice amongst travelers in Piñan, whether exploring or just passing through curiosity really do hit people badly. Necessary facilities includes 24-hour front desk, 24-hour room service, facilities for disabled guests, Wi-Fi in public areas, are at hand. It feels like home.

More details : Manuel Resort

Also we tried a lot of good entertainment at the resort like billiard, dart, table hockey and a lot more. People are also kind and welcoming, the staffs are well oriented. Never did we ever encountered misunderstandings on our neighboring rooms, they provide good quality blankets/comforters, pillows and a good bed to keep their guests well rested. A place like this will always be a place worth coming back for!

Until my next update, have a great month!

Let me tell you all about “THE EXCHANGE”. Before that let me ask you about, how’s your week doing? Doing good aye? Anyway, my co-generation won’t understand how hard it is to stand up all day and meet new strangers. “The Exchange” makes us more confident when it comes entertaining people around, by the means of entertaining you might think the other way ha-ha! Here I learned some good tips on how to do business talks. Day 1, me and my group had our orientation on some rules and regulations during work in and out the work zone; we were assigned to be on a certain store under LENIN branches. I was assigned at the KCC Mall ASUS center and two of my friends Sam(girl) at the O+ and Efren(boy) at the HUAWEI. Yes, we’re 10 students all in all in this LENIN branch “The Exchange”, but we’re all separated, so some of my duty mates don’t have some pictures with us(sadnu).

Efren, Ate Sheng, Sam and Me (left to right)

Efren, Ate (haha), Sam and Me (left to right)

Me, myself and I enjoyed my experience during the program. Here I learned how to say “YES SIR” and “YES MA’AM”. So my first day went like this. I was assigned (ASUS Center at KCC Mall), of course I’m excited indeed, but entering the store was a little bit awkward, why?  Here I met Kuya Dar; he’s so mayabang(arrogant) at first. I don’t know if it was just because we are new or he thought that we are the new hired employee. Then I met Kuya Fritz(the supervisor) he’s kind and funny and also I met Kuya payat(“thin” coz I don’t know what his name was). Then on my second day, it starts to get good and fun, “kuyas” starting to talk to me and asked about stuffs. They thought me how to engage in communicating to clients. I also learned some things like what the latest laptop is or what the latest mobile phone (ASUS) is. On the third day (our last day) we get used to it already, I met Ate Belle; she’s so kind. She even wanted to daya(cheat) our DTR hahaha! (Shhh just us). Experience is just an experience, there’s no harm in trying right? We will surely miss this exchange.

But of course my OOTD (outfit of the day) won’t say bye bye for the day. Yes I don’t have it on the first day, but I keep slaying it on the second and third day.

New batch of Ateneo Blue Vigors (incomplete). So proud of being part of this wonderful family, Ateneo Blue Vigors is a family that grew stronger and stronger, thus the circumstances we encounter and the misunderstandings that we had. Nevertheless, we still have the  unity within us. This is actually a benefit concert for our beloved Brebeuf Gym, our second home.

We had invited some guests too like VJ Chino Lui Pio, DJ Nina, Mai Mai Cantillano, TJ Monterde and Ella Cruz.

The song “ Worlds on Fire ” by Zerbin was used to honor our beloved gym. “ Worlds On Fire ” is an upbeat indie pop anthem about the love story of young lovers during an apocalypse. The song kicks off with a guitar then the adds the drums as Jason Zerbin sings, “I can’t believe my eyes / Playing in the dark we were hiding in the night,” and brings this anthem to life.

But instead of two young lovers we made it about how the moments that was spent during the days that Brebeuf gym was still on the ground and after how we had risen from the tradegy. This sets the tone for chorus, which truly grasps your attention. Jason Zerbin sings, "so we danced in a fount of Parisian merlot/ With our head in the clouds/Bodies below in desire /The whole worlds on fire,” recalling some of the better moments that was left on the Brebeuf gym, the practices we had, the bonds we had and every moments that makes us smile. You’ll know when you are at the gym when the rules says “ NO STEPPING ON THE YELLOW LINE ” haha those days tho.

The evaluations we had when I was still a newbie. A lot of things happened there (tears).  At last the concert was a success , we thank YAMAHA, Ateneo de Zamboanga University, SACSI (SIMO CULMINATION) and El Consejo Atenista for having this benefit concert successful, it was an amazing experience! The tears and sweat we shed was worth it. Also a special thanks to our amazing President, to our Vice-President, to our Head Choreographers, to my co-blue who should lie low at the time , to my batch 2015 and lastly to my second family the Ateneo Blue Vigors. One Passion, One Family, Blue!

So thankful of having a kikay sister. Yes, we usually don’t get along with each other. I never knew that we could get this close, I mean duh?! She is my sister haha. I remember when we were young, there is this mini plastic pool and we keep on having a fight, yeah, I admit that when my “topak” hits me, I eventually become so selfish as in so selfish. I usually put the fault on her, I realized that having a sister is one of the best thing I ever had. The time when I was sick, when both of our parents were out of town and only our aunts were with us, t’was late in the evening and I got so hot (fever), she woke up, and she slowly put a wet towel over my head so that I could feel better. Anyway no more dramas haha. “Brothers and sisters are as close as hands and feet.” Vietnamese proverbs. Yes someday she’ll go and fall in love, and there’s an end of peace and fun and cozy times together, that’s how life works. No matter how old she gets, she is still your little sister, and she will always be cute.

Perks of having a little sister:

1.)  No one ever picks on my sister…except me

You cherish her, you secure her, and by the day's end, you're certain she realizes that you were simply playing around. In any case this doesn't change the way how you treat and play jokes on her, you mean thing.

2.) She always surprises you

Sometimes when my day goes like hell, she never fails to surprise and make me smile haha. I never doubt her, since I never had any idea what she’s capable of. Sometimes when I treat her badly she still grin and embrace me toward the day's end, which is just unbelievably delightful. At last, this little heap of daylight never neglects to astound you.

3.)  Impossible to stay angry with her

She could be bratty, troublesome, ruined and impossible. All siblings passes through this stage but having an argument with your little sister is that there is no way of staying angry with her for long. Regardless of what she's done, her naturally irritating attitude is sufficient to make you adore her once more.

       4.) You go goofy together

The strangest and most humiliating minutes can seem typical and amusing when your younger sibling is included. You fart in front of her, talks and laughs loud in a quiet room and sometimes do stupid things.

       5.) Inside Jokes

Spending childhood with your younger sister has a conclusion on something. Because of the age difference, regardless of how enormous or little it is, you are going to discover something to chuckle about.
